How many times have you looked at yourself in the mirror and told yourself: “you can do more”? Don’t let yourself be victim of the safety of your comfort zone. It’s time to face your inner demons. Go out there, seek discomfort, explore the world and explore the void. Only discipline will allow you to reach your dreams. Discipline is hard. I understand if you give up. Giving up will always be a choice. But should you? Is that who you are? Be honest with yourself. You want something, don’t you? Then go and get it. Don’t be afraid of failure. Because failing means you’ve gone out of comfort zone, you’ve grown and therefore the Patrick that tried and failed is more mature than the Patrick did not even try. Life waits for no one, and those who succeed aren’t the most talented, but the most disciplined.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners act despite how they feel. Winners keep working even after failing and feeling like shit. Winners work even after everything in the world is telling them that they’re not going to make it. Winners remain disciplined, even in face of adversity and failures.

It’s not about doing what you like, but doing what you need. You’re not here to seek momentary pleasure, but to achieve eternal glory (what glory is, you define).

It’s not about being perfect, the smartest or the best. It’s about being relentless. It’s about persevering even in face of adversity. Face the pain, embrace the fatigue and pursue your goals with insatiable voracity. Don’t seek the approval of others. Seek the approval of the warrior within. Determination, focus, self discipline. No one else is going to carry us on the ascend towards your goal.

At every point in time you have to make a choice. You’re always at a crossroads between two or more paths. You have to choose the path of most resistance. Always. Even in the little things.

Sure, sometimes the one with least resistance will bring better yields, and that’s one of the exceptions.

But usually, you gotta be truthful with yourself and the path with most resistance is also the most successful one.

Do not lie to yourself. Do things that suck.

Discipline is the root of all good things. And you need to apply discipline to everything, even the things that you really hate doing.

Fuck you.
